United Nations Assistant Secretary General, Mr. Miroslav Jenĉa arrived in Maldives today to an invitation extended by the Government of the Maldives. Mr. Jenĉa was received at the airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ms. Dunya Maumoon and Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Shaheeb.
During the visit, Mr. Jenĉa is scheduled to hold discussions with the Government officials and key stakeholders in the country. Mr. Jenĉa is accompanied by Mr. Shin Umezu, Acting Chief of Asia and the Pacific Division at the Department of Political Affairs of the United Nations.
