High Level Event on Climate Education

20 November 2017, New York, The Maldives Minister of Environment and Energy, H.E Thoriq Ibrahimparticipated at a High Level Event on Climate Education and Youth jointl yorganised by COP 22 Presidency, Incoming COP 23 Presidency, United Nations Children Fund and United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change today. Speaking at the event, Minister highlighted the impacts of climate change toMaldives and other Small Island Developing Countries and relevant measuresundertaken by SIDS in ensuring resilience. Minister further highlighted theimportant role of Climate Action by youth in transforming our world to a betterplanet.Minister Thoriq, thanked the children and youth who are taking leadership rolesto address climate change at their respective levels.ENDS
