21 September 2016, New York; The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Asim met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bhutan, H.E. Mr. Lyonpo Damcho Dorji earlier today at the sidelines of the 71st Session of the UNGA in New York.
At the meeting today, the Foreign Ministers expressed commitment to working towards strengthening the existing cordial relations between the two countries.
The Ministers discussed collaboration on matters within the Agenda of the UNGA 71st session that are of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Secretary Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed and Mr. Ahmed Sareer, Ambassador/ Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations.
Invest Maldives, the government agency entrusted with promoting, licensing and registering foreign investments in the country, is the first port of call for all foreigners keen to invest in the Maldives.
