The Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the Principality of Andorra signed the Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements today. The Agreement allows for the exemption of visas for single or multiple entry for both countries' nationals, for a period of 90 days.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Maldives by His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and on behalf of the Government of the Principality of Andorra by Her Excellency Imma Tor Faus, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Andorra.
During the discussions following the signing ceremony, State Minister Khaleel expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Principality of Andorra for its commitment towards strengthening the existing ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and conveyed hope that the signing of this agreement will increase avenues for further engagement and people-to-people contact between the Maldives and Andorra.
